是米老鼠嗎？

A few days ago, I've heard some weird noise from the kicken ceiling, but I didn't pay attention because I thought that was form the next door neighbors.

This morning, I found a pile of suspicious droppings. From my childhood experiences, I know what that exactly is. I felt chills down my spine and couldn't open the cabinet doors to check...

I hope it doesn't live in my place. I haven't found any of food got eaten by it. Maybe it was just passing by and dropping some poops, then left. I wonder why my dog Nio-nio didn't find it? She's minature Schnauzer and is supposed to be a good "you-know-what" hunter.

I threw away some left-over food and junks, then called my landlord. Hope I will never have to see it, nor its poops again.

今天早上，我發現浴室地板上有一堆可疑的排泄物，米粒般大小，黑黑的，當然不會是阿妞的便便。

根據我的童年經驗，馬上判定這是我最害怕的那種動物，一時之間感到寒毛直豎，心裡一直想，不會吧，不會吧，不會吧...

我在家裡巡了一圈，發現放在外面的土司麵包還是被塑膠袋包得好好的，沒有被咬過的痕跡，其他地方也沒有什麼可疑之處。心裡就在祈禱，那種東西並不住在我家裡，可能只是剛好經過想大便，所以在我浴室地上大了一坨。

令人生氣的是，我跑去社區管理辦公室，問他們有沒有定期作蟲害防治，他們並不回答我的問題，只叫我直接跟房東連絡。以前這個社區是apartments，有什麼事他們都會立刻來處理，就連家裡燈泡壞了他們都會馬上來修；現在變成condos，管理員再也不管住戶的事，都要我們直接跟屋主連絡。

妹妹說，以前他們公司發現這種動物，連抽屜裡的普拿疼都吃，而且還會聽人話，只要你說要去抓XX，他們就會躲著不出來，放黏鼠板也黏不到，反而黏到老闆的拉不拉多狗狗的腳。我想，美國的XX應該聽不懂中文吧？那說中文可以嗎？

倒是妞妞，一點像是發現獵物的騷動都沒有，好整以暇地賴在地上睡覺。雪納瑞不是捕鼠專家嗎？以前住新加坡的時候，妞妞就曾經發現家裡有一隻小XX，立下了大功。怎麼這回卻沒有動靜？

也許，這個不速之客真的只是路過吧？希望牠永遠都不要出現，也不要再大便在我家。我現在連打開櫥櫃拿東西都戰戰兢兢的，生怕會跳出個米老鼠來嚇我呢。

seriously speaking though, if you still see traces of XX, you should just call an exterminator (look it up in the yellowpages). I used to have XX in my apartment in NY and my old place here in Montreal and it was a major pain in the ass. Re: your other comments about cats that don't catch XXs, I think cats always help because as soon as XXs can smell cats around, they flee. but yeah, in your case, call an exterminator and get your landlord pay for it. it's totally worth the $$.

以前在餐廳的時候，也為了抓老鼠大傷腦筋，他們真的好像聽的懂人話，應該說不是人話，而是那種感覺...

狗不會抓老鼠吧，他們應該只是一時好奇好玩，把老鼠抓起來。以前我們學校有隻狗，跟我去山上跑步時，就把一隻土撥鼠給挖出來咬著玩，玩膩了就丟在旁邊...我家的黃金也是有一次把蟾蜍咬起來...總之狗應該只是一時興起吧...@@

我朋友為了怕老鼠去領養了隻貓咪來, 結果是隻不抓老鼠的貓, 還整天找兩隻狗打架... ...

Thank you for your suggestion. I think my dog is pretty friendly and doesn't mind living with a cat...but I don't know who will be willing to let their cat lives with a dog for a week...

I've heard somebody used moth ball to keep snakes away from their house. It might also work on XX?

My place is full of the smell of moth balls now.

Hmm, if you know someone who have cats, try borrow one for a week or so? Cats are super effective in scaring xx away. They'll have to get along with your dog though, but if your dog doesn't mind the cat it's usually a very cute sight. dogs and cats playing together...
