I read The Chronicles of Narnia
Finally I finished reading "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe". I was very touched by Aslan's justness and sacrifice. My tear was running like streams when I read the chapter of Aslan's death. Now I can't wait to see the movie.
I discussed this book with my Editor/Christian friend in Taiwan. She is the Chief Editor of the Publisher which published the Chinese translation version of "The Chronicles of Narnia".
"Do you know Aslan represents Jesus Christ?" she asked.
"Yes, I know." And I also know that the chapter of Aslan's death is actually the story of Jesus and the dogma of Christianity is elaborated in the Narnia story.
"You are almost like a Christian now." My friend said. :)
I am always obsessed with metaphoric and symbolism. I've read some of discussion about "The Chronicles of Narnia" and C.S. Lewis the author. C.S. Lewis is a good friend of J. R. R. Tolkien, the author of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. He was fascinated with fairy tales, myths and ancient legends(so am I). He was an author, a Professor of Medieval and Renaissance English, and a Christian apologist. Some studies indicated that there is an interesting relationship between the seven deadly sins and C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis "may either consciously or subconsciously have emphasized one of the seven deadly sins in each one of the seven Narnia books."
The official web site of Narnia (by Disney) is fantastic. It contains rich information about C.S. Lewis, the books and the movie.
我也有纳尼亚的整套7个故事,不过是大陆翻译的。
整体来说还是非常喜欢的。但也许是从小的教育。。。觉的宗教意味太重了一点,不习惯。

jess,
It's hard for us not seeing the reflection of authors' thoughts from their writings.
But you may simply read "Narnia" just as a classic fantasy story.

There are two movies that I'm actually looking forward to watch: 1) Happy Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and 2)The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Kind of disappointed to know that the movie is sort of related to religion though, but I'm going to watch it anyway then judge whether to collect the all 7 series!
