Enzian Theater

Finally I found a theater in Orlando area that shows art movies. I've been frustrated because there are so many good movies out there that I am longing to see, but they never show those movies in AMC. My alternative is to rent from Nefilx. However, sometimes I just want to sit in the theater, to feel that atmosphere, to share the passion with people who have same taste of movies.

I remember the annual event "Golden Horse Film Festival" in Taipei. Friends and me always waited in long line to get the tickets(they were usually sold out before the event started), stayed up late to catch the midnight shows. We saw 2 or 3 movies a day, mostly are European movies or independent films or animations. Sometimes we were too tired and fell asleep--you know, it requires a lot of energy to appreciate those art films--but we still had so much fun.

Sam and me went to Enzian in Winter Park to see "Broken Flowers" today. They show many independent films and documentaries there. The coolest thing about this theater is that it is like a restaurant with a huge screen. You sit in the couch and having meal or coffee or wine while you are watching movies. The theater is in an old wood house which you would never guess it is a movie theater. The afternoon show ticket price is only six dollars, cheaper than AMC. We like this theater and were glad to find this new place to hang out.
